LULU DOVI, OLLI Volunteer

  • Lula Joughin Dovi, in her eighth decade, has mined the experiences of her life in Florida to create the poems found in the collection Seasonings (published by Trafford Publishing) .  Filled with her poetry and her illustrations, it is a charming exploration of Dovi’s life.

TOM KOCHANSKY, OLLI Faculty

  • Man of Action: Peter’s Recollection of the Christ – John Mark records Peter’s memories of his time with Jesus. This will become the Gospel of Mark.
  • Tribune: a Story of Early Christianity – A Tribune in Nero’s Rome loses his faith in the gods and his old teacher of philosophy leads him to the one true God. He struggles with his duty to Rome as a soldier and to his Christianity.
  • Exploring the Fourth Gospel – A layperson’s commentary on the Gospel of John, drawing on work done since the time of the Early Church Fathers.

    (Sashi was a student in what is now known as OLLI ‘s Life Story Writing  classes, and is an original member of “WOW ” (Writers of Wisdom), an independent social/class group of writers. Members are all from LIR/OLLI classes @ USF who have met twice a month at the Carrollwood Piccadilly Restaurant for 13 years. Sashi teaches classes for OLLI  and can be reached through  them.)
