Macomb, Richard Thomas, 83, of Dade City, FL entered into rest on Monday October 31, 2011 at the HPH Hospice Care Center on Clinton Avenue. He was born in Landsdown, PA on April 28, 1928. He was the husband of his beloved wife, Irene Valentine Macomb and Papa to his little dog Mollie. Tom was a member of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dade City and had been a greeter and a member of the Thursday Morning Breakfast Group and the American Legion. He had been a volunteer at the Pasco Medical Center and the University of South Florida in the Senior Net Program. He was retired from the U.S. Army as a Photographer. Among his various jobs, he worked in the Headquarters Rocket Testing lab and was a pioneer in America’s journey into Space at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. He is survived by a sister, Nancy Ippolito, and brother-in-law Angelo Ippolito, a niece, Scarlet Leinhan, and nephews, Kenneth, David and Michael Ippolito. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Moore and Barbara Conk. A memorial service will be held 3pm Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 37623 Magnolia Ave., Dade City, FL.
