Patti Woods, who used to reside in University Village, passed away on October 21, 2010 in Burke, Virginia.

A phone call from her daughter-in law, Linda Woods, reported that she started to fail after a stroke four and a half years ago and became blind. She had to give up reading, her computer. and her life time interest in genealogy. Patti taught the first and continuing classes in genealogy for the LIR senior program at USF. She had many followers and twice traveled to Salt Lake City for the week long Heritage Quest event, held each year in December.
