Steve Reed, one of the earliest SeniorNet volunteers died Friday Dec 17th. He was an Intro coach during the mid to late ’90s. Steve enjoyed coaching and helped many students who are now OLLI members.

His health began to decline in recent years and he was not able to continue helping with classes. His humor and computer skills will be missed by many friends.—Caye Wheeler

Stephen W. Reed, 69 of Lutz, FL passed away December 17th, 2010.

He was born April 14th, 1941 in Albany, NY to Shirley O. and Inga Rita Eyer Reed.

Steve graduated from Phineas-Banning High School in Long Beach, CA and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Long BeachState College in CA. He continued his post graduate studies at MichiganState.

Steve worked as a Labor/Management negotiator for Philco/ Ford and JPL in CA and later for Martin Marietta in Maryland. He was a longtime volunteer with SeniorNet at University of SouthFlorida.

Steve is survived by his brother, Richard Reed (Brenda) of Hartsville, IN, nephews, Brian of Indianapolis and Alan (Lisa) and a great niece and great nephew.

At Steve’s request, there will not be a service. Donations may be made to the Judeo Christian Clinic.
